Today I was the second shooter for photographer Adrian Gutierrez here in Austin. I could go on and on about this wedding (ask David... I rambled to him about it for half an hour.. haha) but I'll try to keep it short. :)
Basically, it was a beautiful ceremony with wonderful lighting and a ton of great spots to shoot from. On top of that, the bride, groom, wedding party, and basically every guest there were all SO nice and genuine toward me. You could just sense the closeness is this group of people and so many of them went out of their way to come meet me and encourage me.
I have about 1,000 images to go through (and that's after my first round of deleting) but here are just some random ones because I just couldn't wait.
Thanks again Adrian for letting me shoot with you and have the opportunity to meet this wonderful group of people. I was truly blessed. :)

More Catching Up!
I'm realizing I have a TON of little shoots I haven't blogged about.. Might as well start catching up, right?
A few weeks ago, one of the little girls I nanny for had a violin recital w/ a reception following at our house. My boss asked me to shoot a few pictures of the group, who mainly consisted of children under 8 and their parents. Here you go!

Merry Christmas!
I feel like it's been forever since I blogged on here.. I've been so busy with nannying and my boyfriend moving to Austin (yay!!) that I haven't had much time to post anything on here. SORRRRRRRRY. :)
But I just wanted to express what an exciting semester this has been for me. When I first decided to try and make my love for photography into an actual job, I wasn't sure how well it would take off. But I'm proud to say that since my very first shoot w/ Ms. Sara Stites at the beginning of October, I have had at least one shoot EVERY week since then! Come 2009, I'm bumping my prices up a bit and I'll really start kicking things into high gear.
I really appreciate all the support, advice, encouragement, and positive feedback I've received from friends, family, and strangers.. I particularly appreciate the support of my good friend Ben, my boyfriend David, and my parents. Thanks guys. :)
Some things to look out for...
my new website!!!!
some non-commercial photography series
a photography book
more photographs (of course)
Also.. good news.. For Christmas I got a new lens (24-70mm f/2.8L), a new flash, a gear bag, and some other accessories from my parents. Epic. :)

Rachel & Andrew- Wedding
This last weekend, I had the pleasure of shooting my FIRST wedding as the primary shooter! Andrew and Rachel are some friends of mine in Austin and they got married up in McKinney, TX. It was such a fun wedding to shoot. Both the bride and groom were super chill and the ceremony really reflected who they are.. as you'll see below.
Enjoy!
It's not often I get the camera turned on me when I'm on the job but Andrew oh so kindly took one of me (the photographer) and my boyfriend David (the musician/DJ).
